The Santa Justa station opened in 1991 as part of the city's modernization project when the AVE high-speed trains only started operating in Spain. Named in honor of Seville's most famous saint (sister of Santa Rufina), the station has 12 platforms and provides regular connections to the major destinations in Andalusia. Serving around 9 million passengers a year, Seville's Santa Justa is the third-busiest station in the entire country! The contemporary design of this enormous and outstanding complex was created by talented Spanish architects Antonio Cruz and Antonio Ortiz.

How to get to the Santa Justa train station?

Although the station is situated to the north-east of the city center, it provides easy direct connections to Seville's bus lines, including circular buses (lines C1 and C2) and the AE airport bus. Unfortunately, there is no direct connection via the local metro network, the closest metro station is set about 800 meters (2625 feet) away which is approximately 10 minutes on foot, it is called Nervion (yellow L1 line).
