Located 10 km (6 mi) from Xian city center, Xian North railway station is the largest train station in northwest China. Serving only high-speed trains, the station boasts 34 platforms (16 island & 2 side platforms). Despite the distance from Xian center, the station is connected to Beikezhan station of Line 2, which you can use to reach downtown and all of Xian's highlights. Xian North railway station serves bullet trains on Zhengzhou - Xian and Xian - Baoji stretching south to Shenzhen and north to Beijing. Unfortunately, Xian Xianyang International Airport has no metro connection yet. You can take a taxi or bus: Airport Bus Shuttle Line 6 goes to the airport right from the bus stations adjacent to the Xian North railway station square. The bus goes every 40 minutes starting from 9 AM.
