How to book and how to get your tickets

How to book train tickets?

You can easily book train tickets on our website or Rail Ninja app. You can place reservations up to 2 years in advance and our team will issue and send you your tickets by email and in the Rail Ninja app.

How to receive tickets?

Most tickets are issued within 1 hour from booking. Some tickets are issued within 24 hours from booking. And tickets booked in advance are issued when the rail carrier allows assigning specific seats to your name. We display the date when your tickets will be issued on your order page and in the app.

When will I receive my tickets?

If you are booking a few weeks before your trip (or few months before for select suppliers), your tickets will be issued instantly. If you are booking in advance, we recommend that you install the Rail Ninja app. As soon as we issue your tickets, they will be loaded in the Rail Ninja app and you will receive an automatic push notification about it (and an email).

Tip: Your booking confirmation and link to download tickets will be emailed to you. So you can always find your tickets in your mailbox - just search for [email protected] or simply “rail ninja” in your mailbox.

How to use your train tickets?

All tickets booked with Rail Ninja are electronic tickets (etickets). You can print them out or you can install the Rail Ninja app and your tickets will be with you when you travel.

Tip: Rail Ninja app will display tickets even if you are not connected to the internet and you opened tickets in the app when you were online.

How to use tickets in Ireland and Japan?

In Ireland and Japan you will need to collect your tickets at the train station ticket booth using a retrieval code that we will send to you. We will send you the code by email and also display it in the Rail Ninja app. And, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to collect your tickets at the train station.

What to do if you forgot which email you used to book train tickets?

Use our ticket retrieval to recover your tickets. You will need to answer some questions such as your name and telephone number.

How to access your reservation through the website?

Please note, only flexible tickets can be modified or canceled. Non-refundable tickets cannot be modified or canceled. So if you have flexible tickets, you can modify or cancel them. To do so, please access your reservation online using one of the following options. Once you are there, select the Modify or Cancel button and follow the instructions.

If you have a booking confirmation email, click on the link in that email. Select modify or cancel button and follow the instructions

How to modify booking in the App?

Step 1: Sign-in to the App
Step 2: Go to my ticket section and scroll down until you see Cancel and Modify buttons.
