Travel From Moscow to Murmansk by Arktika Trains

The beautiful name of these trains, Arkika, is the Russian translation of the word Arctic. It was chosen because of the amazing city of Murmansk - the largest city north of the Arctic Circle and one of the trains' terminal stations. Arktika trains completed their first run from Moscow to Murmansk back in the '60s. And even then they boasted the status of luxury trains, offering a much better travel experience than any other shuttle on the route. They have spacious sleeper compartments of three travel classes: Platzkart, Kupe, and SV. Plazkart is the least comfortable option. The coaches of this type have no doors and offer barely any privacy. Kupe is a much more convenient choice. These compartments are meant for four people, have lockable doors, and provide Wi-Fi during the ride. SV compartments are the priciest but the most luxurious option at the same time. They are meant for two people and feature wider beds, a TV, individual lights, and power sockets.
