Bucharest Nord Station, Romania

Bucharest Nord railway station is the main train station in Bucharest. The extensive majority of mainline trains originate from this station. The station has a royal touch as it was visited by two monarchs in the past: Carol I of Romania presented at setting the foundation stone on 10 September 1868 and Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria-Hungary also stoped by. For this event, a new wing of the station with “Royal Hall” was built between 1895-1896. As of now, Bucharest Nord train station has 8 platforms, 14 tracks, and serves Constanta, Craiova, Ruse, and other domestic destinations, as well as international trains to Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Republic of Moldovia, Austria, Turkey, Russia, and Belarus.
