Alfa Pendular Train
The Portuguese Alfa Pendular high-speed train connects major cities in Portugal. Operated by Portuguese Railways, it is among the most convenient ways to travel on the Porto - Lisbon train route. Alfa Pendular has undergone a complete renovation in March 2017 and now offers travelers even more comfort. Choosing to travel on train from Lisbon to Porto and vice versa has many benefits, for starters, the train passes the distance of 332 kilometers (206 miles) in less than 3 hours! Moreover, there are more than 5 daily departures and two travel classes onboard Alfa Pendular high-speed trains to choose from: the first-class Conforto and second-class Turistica. The trains boast comfortable spacious seats with generous legroom and individual sockets, a wide range of audio and video channels, and are equipped with WCs, a cafeteria, and a minibar.

Passengers can purchase food from the vending machine and/or a bar car (depending on the route). The transportation of pets with you is also available on the train, while guide dogs travel for free.
