Considered as one of the most beautiful stations in Europe, the Valencia del Nord train station (Estacio del Nord in Spanish) is set in an elegant palatial edifice, located in the very city center close to the famous Plaza de Toros. Opened in the middle of the 19th century, the station's building is a nice example of the Valencian Art Nouveau. Nowadays, Estacio del Nord is the main rail station in the city which uses such train services as the high-speed Talgo trains and the majority of regional railways "Cercanias Valencia", while the high-speed AVE trains from Madrid use another Valencia station, the Joaquin Sorolla train station, located within a 10-minute walk.
