The station receives regional trains, Intercity, and famous Alfa Pendular high-speed trains that are capable of moving at a speed of 220 kph (137 mph)! The station is located 7 km (4 mi) south-west from the Faro airport. If you are wondering how to get from the Faro railway station to the airport, you should know that there is no railway connection between these two destinations. Alternatively, consider hopping on a City Bus (lines 14 and 16) that will take you from the Faro bus station to the airport in about 15 minutes.
