Located in central Tokyo, the station covers quite a large area from Chiyoda to Ginza commercial district. 10 platforms of the station serve 20 tracks. The first floor is full of commercial facilities including cafes, ticket desks, shops, as well waiting rooms and bathrooms. As the station is located practically in Tokyo's center, it's not a problem to reach it from any point of the city: the station is linked by underground passageways to the Ōtemachi underground station complex served by the Tōzai, Chiyoda, Hanzōmon, and Mita subway lines.
