Glasgow Central

Opened in 1879, Glasgow Central Station is one of two primary mainline rail stations that are located in the center of the city. The station welcomes thousands of people on a daily basis and 38 million people use it annually. Inside you can find 17 platforms as well as all the necessary facilities such as 3 ticket halls (operated by ScotRail and Avanti West Coast), customer lounge, ATMs, WCs, and numerous others. Interestingly, the station has a “Piano garden”. It is the area with a piano that is available for anyone to play. Glasgow Central Station is the northern part of the West Coast Main Line, which connects such major cities of Liverpool, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow.
