Train Travel from Gwangju Railway Station
Opened on July 1, 1922, the Gwangju Train Station became the major railway hub of the city. Beneficially located right in the heart of the town, the station provides a direct connection to the metro (line 1). Moreover, if you are planning your South Korea getaway, it's better to know that the famous KTX high-speed train also arrives at Gwangju's main station. Traveling with a maximum speed of 330 kph (205 mph), this bullet train will get you from Gwangju to the capital of South Korea, the amazing city of Seoul, in less than 3 hours!
