Savonlinna railway station
If you wish to experience the best of Finland by train, rail stations will be an inevitable part of your journey. Set right in one of the most beautiful districts of Savonlinna, Savonlinna Railway Station can't boast a very impressive size and boasts only 1 platform and a nearby ticket vending machine. The station is located along a small railway line, and it is only neighboring Pääskylahti station in the west. By the way, the railway platform is raised and offers accessible entry onto low-floor trains.

Paid parking garages and areas can be found near the station.
It is advisable to arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before your departure as to have enough time for making your way around the vast territory of the complex, finding your way to the needed platform (you may use one of the Savonlinna Railway Station maps available inside), and to board your train. Luckily, there are no extensive security check procedures on the station.
