Alvia High-Speed Train
The Spanish Alvia high-speed train is a bridge to all major cities in Spain. Whether you travel from Barcelona in the east to San Sebastian on the southern coast of the Bay of Biscay or from central Madrid to Gijón in southern Spain, the Alvia provides quite an extensive route map across entire Spain. Besides many benefits, such as comfortable seats, WCs, air conditioning, audio and video systems, a restaurant car, and a coffee bar, the train reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mi) covering the distance of 390 km (242 mi) in just 2.5 hours! The train offers more than 15 daily departures and 2 seat classes to choose from: the first-class Preferente and second-class Turista.
