Plovdiv Central railway station
Plovdiv Central Railway Station is a major transport hub in Bulgaria, serving many intercity trains as well as several international routes, including the trains to the glorious Turkish city of Istanbul. The station was designed by a renowned Italian architect and professor Mariano Pernigoni and was officially opened in 1870. Today, Plovdiv Central Railway Station boasts seven platforms and 11 tracks and operates five train lines.
