Opened in 1855 as the western terminus of the Inverness and Nairn Railway to designs by the architect, Joseph Mitchell, the Inverness Railway Station is one of the oldest train stations in Scotland. Today, the station has been completely renovated to offer optimal comfort while you travel. The new LED destination screens and a scoreboard with basic information about arrivals have been installed. The platform displays will show you which train departs from where, as well as an overview of how many people are waiting for that particular departure time.
