La Gare de Naples-Centrale, Italy

Gigantic and monumental, remarkable Centrale Station dominates area next to Piazza Garibaldi to the east of the old city. It’s the main railway station in Naples and its traffic of 50 million passengers per year makes it the sixth largest station in Italy. Combining the works of a whole team of architects, Naples Centrale station has 24 tracks. Among the architectural elements that characterize the building, the pyramid roof stands out. Innovative were also the pillars in the form of tripods upside down that support the canopies placed at the entrance of the station and at the head of the tracks. From here you can take a high-speed train to Turin, Venice, Bologna, Florence, and Salerno as well as many other Italian cities.
