Even though this railway hub is way smaller than Liverpool Lime Street station, it's the busiest train terminus in the city. Occupying two levels, Liverpool Central station is located underground and houses three platforms that send direct trains to destinations all over the region featuring Manchester, London, and Glasgow. Apart from being a significant railway joint of the Merseyrail network, Liverpool Central is also the most loaded underground station outside London accomodating, shockingly, about 40 000 passengers a day!
