How do I get from the Mestre station to Venice island?

At the station, look for Trenitalia ticket machines to buy your ticket. Trains from Mestre to Venice operate every 10 minutes and cost around 1-3€. Bear in mind that your destination is Venezia S.L. (Venezia Santa Lucia). In 15 minutes you’ll be carried right to Venice island.
