The Impressive Bird of Russian Railways: Strizh train
The Swift train (or Strizh in Russian) operated by Russian Railways is an upgraded version of the Spanish Talgo train, which became a significant part of the local rail network on May 6, 2015. Although this high-speed train has been modified to adapt to Russian climatic conditions, the original configuration of the Talgo train has been preserved to meet modern standards and provide passengers with maximum comfort. As a rule, Strizh trains offer Second and First class seating carriages as well as luxury cabins that come with private bathrooms. Covering the topic of the general onboard amenities, all coaches are air-conditioned and equipped with spacious seats with folding tables, reading lights, power outlets, and even individual heating control! During the ride, travelers are also welcome to have a good meal in the Restaurant car where various snacks and drinks are available for purchase.
